Cliff Martinez, a composer best known for his work in movies, says that he is currently creating the soundtrack for Far Cry 4, which is officially in development at Ubisoft.

The information was revealed in a wide ranging interview with Lost in the Multiplex and the publisher has not offered any comment on whether it is true.

Martinez is best known for creating the sound design for movies like Drive, Contagion, Solaris, Only God Forgives and Traffic.

He is also currently working on a new television series under the leadership of Steven Soderbergh.

The composer was also involved in video games in 2008, when he delivered the soundtrack to Spore, the game from Maxis and Electronic Arts.

The Far Cry series has been a successful one for Ubisoft and it makes sense for the company to create a new installment that can use the extra power of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
