Far Cry 4 has just received a brand new gameplay video, this time showcasing one of Kyrat's regions, as well as a fresh villain called Paul Depleur, who leads the royal army of main bad guy Pagan Min.

Far Cry 4 launches next month and Ubisoft is ramping up the marketing campaign for the new first-person shooter by showcasing more and more details, videos, or screenshots with the great-looking experience.

A new video goes in-depth about Kyrat

After detailing the main story, the online modes, and main villain Pagan Min, Ubisoft has rolled out a fresh gameplay video in a series called "Welcome to Kyrat," which is set to introduce the variety of areas in the fictional Himalayan country.

The first video focuses on the Lowlands, which represent the less mountainy portions of the country, filled with villages and all sorts of things to do.

"An introduction to the Lowlands of Kyrat. This video focuses on the large variety of flora, fauna, vehicles, weapons, and characters that you’ll find in this specific region of Kyrat. From demon fish and honey badgers, to hovercrafts and buzzers, there’s always something in the lowlands of Kyrat that will keep you moving," Ubisoft reveals in the video's description.

Paul Depleur leads the Kyrat army and brutalizes the citizens

Besides holding many different surprises, the lowlands are also the home of Paul Depleur, the leader of Pagan Min's royal army, who subjugates the citizens and runs all sorts of shady operations.

"Paul Depleur, leader of Pagan Min’s royal army, is a brutal psychopath who poisons the peaceful lowlands through fear and torture. He controls this region and makes his fortune running guns, selling tea and cultivating other illegal crops."

Vehicles are important in Far Cry 4

In order to defeat Depleur and his soldiers, players will have to use their skills, not to mention plenty of different weapons and environmental surprises. Getting around the lowlands can be done easily using civilian vehicles but also through more outlandish ones like a hovercraft or a small gyrocopter

"In order to survive in the lowlands, take advantage of the new vehicles of Far Cry 4. Ride in the Tuk Tuk, take a hovercraft to explore the rivers and marshes, or fly in a gyrocopter, perfect for getting the upperhand on your enemy."

The next video in the Welcome to Kyrat series is going to focus on the Shanath Arena, a place where the best fighters in the country prove their mettle.

Far Cry 4 debuts next month on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
