Gamers can see how the narrative of the title begins

The development team at Ubisoft in charge of Far Cry 4 has chosen to show fans of the franchise the first five minutes of the game, which is impressive given that the title was only officially announced a few months ago.

Gamers will get to know a little bit more about the main character of the title, who seems to be the typical every man with some unique skills and who is caught in a terrible situation, as he gets shot inside a bus that is traveling through the Himalayas.

The main villain of the title also makes an appearance and quickly brandishes his evil credentials by stabbing some people and by delivering some witty lines.

The start of Far Cry 4 also features a selfie, a lot of gunshots, plenty of explosions and a general sense of dread.

It seems that the basic setup of the experience is in many ways similar to that seen in the previous titles in the series, with the major difference that this time around, players will have to explore mountain ranges and the valleys between them.

The game looks pretty good from the footage that Ubisoft has shared, although the company has not said on which platform the first five minutes shown were taken from.

Dan Hay, the executive producer of the title, explains that the start of the experience is designed to show the player the initial plot of the story and then give him the freedom to proceed however he wants.

Apparently, a major announcement about Far Cry 4 will be made later during the day, although Ubisoft has not offered any clues about its nature.

The video game will use the open world structure that has been traditionally associated with the series, but the company has already said that it will introduce a number of new ideas in order to keep long-term fans satisfied.

Ubisoft has already had to deal with some controversy about Far Cry 4, with some fans saying that the released cover image could be interpreted as being racist.

The new shooter experience from the French publishers will have to compete with other big releases this fall, including Battlefield Hardline from Electronic Arts and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from Activision.

Far Cry 4 will be launched on November 18 of this year on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and current-gen consoles.
