Admire the upcoming shooter in all of its visual glory

Ubisoft has just unleashed some more details about its upcoming Far Cry 3 shooter, alongside a batch of new screenshots showcasing the truly impressive visuals of the future title.

Far Cry games have impressive many shooter fans over the years with stunning graphics and unique scenarios in which players needed to battle against all odds and try out different survival strategies.

With Far Cry 3, Ubisoft is going back to the tropical island setting, just like in the original, only this time the protagonist is Jason Brody, a guy whose best friend was murdered in front of him while his girlfriend was kidnapped by mercenaries.

After the really impressive video we saw yesterday, Ubisoft has now revealed a few more details about the game, as well as a round of new screenshots that once again show off the really impressive graphics, not to mention the variety of things you’ll be able to do in the game, like driving.

"Far Cry 3 players step into the shoes of Jason Brody, a man alone at the edge of the world, stranded on a mysterious tropical island cut off from civilization," Ubisoft revealed about the game.

"In this savage paradise where lawlessness and violence are the only sure thing, players will dictate when, where and how the events of the game unfold. Players will slash, sneak, detonate and shoot their way across the island in a world that has lost all sense of right and wrong."

Throughout the game, players will be able to wield all sorts of weapons, from silent machetes to impressive rifles or even rocket launchers, all in order to defeat the array of enemies that the title throws at them.

Expect some more details to appear about the game in the near future.

Until then, look forward to Far Cry 3’s release on September 4, in North America, and September 7, in Europe, for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
