Ubisoft has just announced that it has released a fresh title update for the Xbox 360 version of Far Cry 2, which comes with some pretty interesting fixes. Just start your gaming console and pop in the game disk and the title update will be automatically downloaded and applied. While doing that, also take a look at what the new update offers.

For the single player segment of Far Cry 2, the biggest news is that Ubisoft has finally got around to fixing the issues of corrupted saved games, which has been plaguing some players since the launch of the game.

The company has apologized for not being able to fix them sooner and says that, even if saved games, which have already been corrupted cannot be recuperated, most of the new ones should be problem free. Let's hope that the title update is quickly brought over to the PC, where players have been reporting similar issues.

Random crashes related to malaria attacks have also been fixed, along with the health damage not registering the changes made in the difficulty level. Multiplayer has received quite the list of fixes, along with a re-balanced damage model and more options for the host player.

One extra feature has been added to Far Cry 2 in the form of a hardcore mode, which makes all the weapons deal out more damage in order to increase the realism level. All those who have completed the game should enjoy the extra challenge. Ubisoft is saying that the game now supports playing Rank matches on maps created by users.

Far Cry 2 has been a very good seller for the Ubisoft and it makes sense for the company to patch it as much as it can, especially if it plans to offer some new downloadable content for it or if an expansion is in the works.
