- More features for Fantasy Baseball

Yahoo's sports content is attracting a considerable number of users because the giant portal offers a wide area of information. Today, Yahoo released a new version of Yahoo Sports
for TV, a move that was prepared to lure baseball fans to the company. However, most of the upcoming Yahoo visitors will be attracted by the fantasy games compatible with Media Center PCs or Media Center Extenders as WebProNews reported. Along with the new version of the Yahoo Sports for TV product, the company also included several features especially designed for the fantasy games platform such as live player stats and match info.

"We are excited to take fantasy baseball to the next level this season and bring the ultimate game day experience to passionate baseball fans through Yahoo! Sports for TV. By extending users' Web experiences beyond the PC to the largest screen in the house, with products like Yahoo! Sports for TV, Yahoo! is leading the way in the development of innovative and exciting applications that exceed users' expectations." said Patrick Barry, vice president, Yahoo! Digital Home, according to the same source. "Yahoo! Sports for TV delivers innovative custom tools, such as live updates and Scoreboard, allowing fans to track fantasy teams while enjoying MLB action," James Pitaro, general manager, Yahoo! Sports added.

Recently, Yahoo made several updates able to attract a different category of users to their portal, the movies service being just one of them. Yahoo Movies was recently improved with shortcuts placed straight on the search engine result page that provide instant access to movie information. Yesterday, Yahoo debuted lyrics, a new solution that is meant to represent the only official lyrics database that offers licensed content.
