FantaVision Cheats, Unlockables and Hints (PS2)

FantaVision is a video game that was developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated.

The game was launched exclusively on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony and arrived in March 2000.

The title can be classed as being a real-time strategy-based game played from a top-down perspective that also incorporates a lot of elements taken from arcade shooters and from puzzle solving.

FantaVision is a game about fireworks and about big explosions.

As the fireworks are moving across the skyline of an unnamed city, the player must deploy strategy and quick thinking to collect them and detonate as many as possible at once.

More points are earned when bigger clusters are detonated and the game offers a two-player mode where gamers go head to head in the search for the biggest boom.

CHEATS

Cheat mode

Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press X, Up, X, Up, Down, Square at the options screen to unlock all extra options without actually having to obtain them through gameplay.

UNLOCKABLES

Extra option

Successfully complete and save the game under the normal difficulty setting to unlock an "Extra" option at the main menu.

Extra 2 option

Successfully complete and save the game under the hard difficulty setting to unlock an "Extra 2" option at the main menu.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Starmine

A circle with an "E" gives you energy; a circle with a "B" gives you bonus points; and a circle with a star in it is obviously a star. Every time you get one, there's another part of the word "STARMINE" that should light up. Once you have completed the word, a special star appears. You will know when you see it, as it is significantly bigger than any other star. If you detonate this star, you go into Starmine. This is basically a way of getting a lot of points.
