"This petition is fated to every Roxette´s fans who are longing for a new release of the duo… Signing this petition you´ll help us to show them how they´re important for us. Sign and make part of this incentive to our dear Swedish duo to release a new album, breaking the rumors that Roxette is over."

They bought a website (www.petitiononlione.com), posting the above request. 147 signatures and the effort to convince their idols continue.

The release is scheduled for summer-autumn worldwide, an event prepared to celebrate the band's existence of over 20 years.

"Son Of A Plumber" is the solo album of Per, being launched in over 18 countries as the band's guitarist declared 15 February 2006 on www.dailyroxette.com:

"The album release date for Europe has been pushed back from March 6 to March 27. It seems Brazil and Argentina will release it, along with: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Greece, Holland, Italy, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Africa"

Roxette is considered together with Abba a peak in Swedish music, a peak which intends to celebrate their two decades of activity with a "Greatest Hits" signed by Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle.
In the past five years, Per followed his solo career, making his debut on 27th MArch. Per plans a worldwide tour also for the promotion of "Son Of A Plumber". We hope for a Roxette's tour also.

Roxette got their start in the U.S. in Minnesota where I'm from, and I've been a huge fan ever since. Being from the U.S. I only get releases of old hits re-isued over and over. I've heard these songs for years, but I'm hungry for something new. In my opinion they are one of the top true bands, and don't get enough credit. I'm hoping they can mix it up alittle and add a flare like what Coldplay has. If they could bring a more modern touch to the true talent that they have as song writers they could be reborn again in the U.S. I would like to see them play live in Minneapolis, MN, because they started out here, they could be reborn here. Great bands evolve and change with the times and go on for decades. This band is no exception. Keep it going, Corbin
