A photo of students attending a state hockey semi-final in North Dakota has gone viral, with many outraged by fans wearing KKK masks.

According to Daily Mail, they have been identified as students at Red River High School in Grand Forks. The incident occurred on Friday at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, where Red River was playing Davies High School from Fargo.

“After confirming the incident, we notified the administrators at Red River High School who immediately began their investigation.

“To the best of my knowledge, the students have been identified by the Red River administrators who are continuing their investigation,” the high school principal says.
