Fans Struggle to Keep Michael Jackson Slanderous Documentary Off German TV

The documentary BBC journalist Martin Bashir made in 2002, “Living with Michael Jackson,” and that eventually led to his prosecution in 2005 on 10 different counts, is still being aired on German network N24. Fans are again trying to block it from getting airtime.
This is the second attempt from Michael Jackson fans to stop the slanderous documentary from being shown, and to have the unedited and uncut version of it run instead.
As we also noted over the weekend in our editorial “Michael Jackson the Victim: The Untold Truth,” Michael trusted that Bashir would allow him to have his story out there, without tampering with it and without the sensationalism that usually came with every news story about himself.
While Bashir claimed that he would not present Jackson in a skewed light, he did just that, by having footage shot in the singer’s house cut and heavily edited to portray him as a monster and a child molester.
The documentary was at the basis of the 2005 trial (in which Michael was found not guilty on all charges), even though Bashir’s cutter admitted in court that the intention was to portray Michael as a molester from the start.
Fans are now fighting to keep the documentary off the German network, by arguing that N24 should air instead “The Michael Jackson Interview: The Footage You Were Never Meant to See,” the documentary that was made in response to Bashir’s own, shot by people on Michael’s staff.
“We cannot allow any longer, that this film, in which Martin Bashir defames Michael Jackson and makes him look like a fool, is still being shown on TV,” fans say of the petition now available online.
“We stand up for an accurate description of Michael Jackson in and by the media and we fight to achieve this with all available means,” the petition to N24 reads.
“Finally the artist and, above all, the person Michael Jackson shall be honored and respected for his artistic and humanitarian accomplishments and his memory shall be dignified,” the document further says.
“Always important for us are values like veraciousness, maintenance of human dignity and the common right to be informed in a widespread and objective way by simultaneously paying regard to the freedom of the press,” fans write.

This is a very important campaign..this documentary was so devasting, because so many things, michael said were distorted by bashir..No one should see this again and Michael should never take such a lot of punishment again. Thank you!
I can't bare the thought of the jackson family having to see and go through all that again,I have massive respect for Micheal and his family and i myself would be angry and upset to see or hear Michael Jacksons private life,his death or past being splashed across the tv,I Just want Michael to be able to RIP xx
Thank you, Ms. Gorgan, for reminding the world of Martin Bashir's unethical journalistic conduct. The documentary was clearly a hatchet job from the beginning. I wish the German fans the best in this fight for Michael's legacy.
"Living With Michael Jackson" is a disgusting slanderous false fake so called "documentary". Martin Bashir ABUSED Michael Jackson's trust and his promise for a honest true unbiased documentary about Mr.Jackson. The content is totally false and twisted. Martin Bashir is a disgusting criminal. He did a cruel Character Assassination to Michael Jackson and Character Assassination is EXACTLY the same as actual murder!
Shame on you N24 for supporting an unethical barbaric criminal like Martin Bashir!!
The definition of a documentary is essentially to tell a realistic and true story by presenting facts and interviews. Why is N24 airing a "documentary" which has been found to contain misleading information and heavily edited interviews. If they insist on showing Bashir's "Living with Michael Jackson" on their schedule, they should be encouraged to air "The Footage you were Never Meant to See" either alongside or instead of.

The FBI just reported their endless investigation of him .And FOUND NOTHING. Years of investigation and millions of dollars spend and they found.... What every fan always knew. Michael Jackson was INNOCENT. Why can't people, let him rest in peace.

I always wondered how a "journalist" who lied and misrepresented the facts was presented with awards and praised by his peers. Martin Bashir is exactly the kind of reporter one does not want telling their story. He manipulated the information to tell something other than the truth. He shoudl be deeply ashamed of himeself. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I don't know how news outlets hired him. I don't ever plan on watching or reading anythign he ever does again. His work, as far as I am concerned, will always be suspect. I wouldn't believe anything he said. He is a liar.

Thank you for your support of that petition, Elena. It is so important to finally stop all the lies and rumours about Michael. The documentary of Martin Bashir is a great example for unethical journalism and tabloid trash. Just can't understand why such a "serious" seeming TV station like N24 is supporting something like that.
Don't believe what the media wants you to believe, create your own opinion!

I cannot believe that horrible interview is popping up again...People should know that Mr. Bashir plotted and intended from the very beginning to produce a negative video...to further his own ambitions. One of the results of that documentary for him, was a slot on Nightline.. on ABC in America. Now he has a news show on MSNBC ...another perk directly related to the original interview. The man is a menace...but was rewarded by the American media for his so-called documentary...he should be taken off our airwaves... It is enough!!

bashir is a * mind shark.....with his false documentary,michaels death begans...we love michael and we are his army of love and his voice......the world needs the whole truth...its for michaels family and his beloved children...we have enough.......michael we love you forever and ever.......
