People are really starting to get into this whole Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber scandal. Everyone is now picking favorites and making predictions about who would actually come on top of this thing. As you might imagine, there are a lot of passions at stake here, especially since some people decided that they would start a petition in favor of Orlando Bloom.

No, the petition is not about having Bloom knighted, although that's not necessarily out of the question just yet, it's about declaring July 29, the day that Orlando took a swing at Bieber, a national holiday.

The petition addresses the President of the United States and demands that Bloom's merits be recognized when he decided to punch Justin in the face “on behalf of the civilized world.”

In so many fancy words, the person who stated with petition tells Barack Obama, “We compel you to do right by every civilized and cultured human being walking this earth by exercising your power for this most just of causes.”

Then it attaches to the text of the petition a detailed account of what happened on that faithful day and how that is important for the free world in such a way that July 29 should become a national holiday.

Believe it or not, the petition that has been started just hours ago has already gotten its first thousand votes, proving that there's at least more than one person out there who thinks that we should have a National Orlando Bloom Day. At the last count, the petition had 2500 signatures.

We're still waiting for the knighthood petitions which are bound to come shortly, as more and more people express their support for Bloom on social media. In fact, the vast majority of people are showing their support for #TeamBloom, and absolutely no one for #TeamBieber.

Of course, this is all just a way to blow off Steam, but it's interesting to watch the huge impact that this attack has had on Justin's public image, that had already been shredded by months and months of bratty behavior on his part.

It's safe to say that by the end of the month, Justin is going to find himself without fans if he continues on this current path. It need to be said that, after the incident with Bloom came to the attention of the press, we got reports detailing Justin's attitude towards Miranda Kerr back in 2012, when she was still married to Bloom, and none of them gave Bieber credit.
