In order to keep their customers and prospective customers entertained, makers of modifiable PCs need to launch new designs periodically, while keeping a good balance with existing offerings.

CyberPower is achieving this by releasing a new notebook, but making it part of an existing collection: the Fang series.

Named FangBook X7, the laptop comes in several hardware configurations, in order to appeal to as wide a demographic as possible.

Nevertheless, none of the setups can qualify as below high end, and their prices show it. The smallest is $1,299 / 970-1,299 Euro.

That particular configuration combines an Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX, 8 GB of RAM, a 750 GB HDD (7,200 RPM),802.11 b/g/n w/ WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, USB 3.0, and a backlit keyboard, all inside a 17.3-inch package.

There are three more "basic" configurations reliant on the Intel i7-3630QM CPU, but the really strong ones go far above those storage, RAM and CPU specs.

Even the i7-3940XM Extreme Edition Processor can be selected, and paired with the like of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680, 32 GB of RAM and RAID storage configurations with speeds of 900 MB/s.

"The Fangbook is an excellent gaming system, and a great GPU is at the heart of every great gaming system," said Brian Choi, notebook GPU product manager at NVIDIA.

"The GeForce GTX 680M is the fastest, most advanced GPU ever built for a notebook and makes a great foundation for the Fangbook to build from."

Go here to find out more information and, if so decided, to make an order. The choices are extensive, so it might take a while.

For those wondering about it, the new NVIDIA game promotion applies because all the laptops use NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPUs. It is safe to say that all these new product announcements are owed to it in some measure.
