With the Porsche 911 Turbo S racing wheels

Porsche is one of the best-known car manufacturers around, the brand being regarded as an automotive icon for decades. That's exactly what German company Fanatec had in mind when it launched its Porsche 911 Turbo S Racing Wheels, a couple of limited-edition gaming accessories that replicate to a very high extent the design and "feeling" of a Porsche car wheel.

All of the three Porsche 911 Turbo S Racing Wheels feature a 900-degree steering angle, 6+1 and sequential shifters and are multi-platform, as they work equally well with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. They also sport 3 Force Feedback motors and a smooth belt drive, which help them deliver a very good level of realism.

Plus, these very interesting peripherals support wireless connectivity with the Xbox 360 right out of the box (that's why it's considered to be designed specifically for Microsoft's console), and in order to enjoy the same advantages on the PC and the PS3, users will simply have to attach a special dongle to one of their available USB ports.

It's important to mention that Fanatec also had interoperability in mind when designing these accessories, since gamers can also use the Pure Edition in order to upgrade their existing Microsoft or Logitech racing wheels, as it allows them to use the pedals they already have. However, should they desire a complete Fanatec setup, they can go for the Clubsport Edition, which features high-end pedals that are fully made of aluminum and sport a load cell pressure sensor for the brake.

These racing wheels are available in very limited editions (911 Turbo S Edition: 3000, Clubsport Edition: 2000, and Pure Edition: 5000), they are all licensed by Porsche, and they are priced as follows: 911 Turbo S Edition: $250, Clubsport Edition: $400, and Pure Edition: $150. That's a LOT less expensive than what you'd have to pay for a full-option Porsche Carrera or Cayenne, but the truth of the matter is that you'll have to find a heck of a realistic simulator to enjoy the same feeling you'll get when driving one of the two models mentioned above.
