Sunday night, during Korn's 'Family Values' tour in Atlanta, a fan had his head smashed against the concrete after an altercation that took place in the mosh pit. Apparently, the man was accompanied by a pregnant woman and a mentally challenged child and exchanged words with two other concertgoers.
Witnesses say that Andy asked two men to not push so hard and to not hit the woman and the child.
Many claimed that the woman was his wife or girlfriend and the child his first son. The two men retired soon after the quarrel in the pit ended, but decided to wait for Richardson outside the venue.

Another friend that was close by told the police that, once out the Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater, the men assaulted Andy from behind, pushed him, knocked him down and smashed his head on the sidewalk. 'He was unconscious. He had blood all over his face when I picked him up', the friend stated.
Richardson was rushed to the hospital but he never regained consciousness. Later on, the patient was declared brain dead but he was still kept on life support as he was an organ donor. Late last night, Andy passed away.
His mother, Gloria, told WSB-TV: 'Can you imagine your child goes to a concert and be killed for it, because of people out there fighting to have a "good time"? And I'm angry. I'm very angry. Why were the police not there to stop that?'. As a matter of fact, the police are currently investigating, but they have thousands of leads that seem to go nowhere because nobody was able to offer a more detailed description of the assailants.
