During February 2011, when Skyrim was still nine months away and only a small number of people had seen the game in action, Bethesda announced a challenge for the most fanatical of fans: have a baby on launch date, November 11, and then name him Dovahkiin in order to get free titles from the publisher for the rest of their lives.

Megan and Eric Kellermeyer have met the challenge set out and have named their son, who was born last Friday at 6:08 PM PST, Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer, and are reporting that both newborn and the mother are alright and ready to enjoy their free games, starting with Skyrim.

It will be interesting to see whether Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer will grow up to be a well-adjusted individual and he will be able to enjoy the games that have lead to his unusual name.

In the first 48 hours The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has managed to sell more than 3.5 million copies while shipping 7 million.
