Bethesda's Fallout Shelter mobile game is a huge success, but sadly, only iOS users can enjoy it on their devices as the Android version is still not out.

While developers confirmed that Fallout Shelter will eventually be launched on Android platform as well, they did not offer an exact release date for the game.

Unfortunately, Bethesda's decision to bring the Fallout Shelter game exclusively on iOS hurt the majority of smartphone users. There's no doubt about it, Android own more than 75% of the market, while iOS comes in second with less than 20%.

The decision seems weird especially that the game is available for free and doesn't really require players to make any in-app purchases unless they want to speed up the game a bit.

Android users are surely disappointed that Fallout Shelter is not available on their favorite platform, but there's hope as Bethesda said that the game is still in development for Android.

“Maybe even weeks away”

If you're an Android user then you should wait the game to arrive “in a few months.” This is a rather large timeframe that might mean a few weeks up to 3 months.

According to a Bethesda employee, Fallout Shelter is not a time exclusive. The truth is the game is still in the works for Android platform, but it's unclear why it will take so long to get finished.

Now, the folks over at iDigitalTimes have some additional info on the Android version of Fallout Shelter. It looks like they were able to talk to a Bethesda staffer at E3 2015 and he said that the Android release is “months away.”

He then immediately backtracked and said that Fallout Shelter Android release might be “weeks away.” The difference is huge for Android users, but don't take the information as completely accurate until Bethesda confirms it.

Bottom line is Android users will have to wait at least a few more weeks for Fallout Shelter to arrive on their platform. We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned.
