Bethesda has pinned a new release date to the fourth downloadable expansion for its Fallout: New Vegas role-playing game, called Lonesome Road, which will be available on September 20, and will be followed shortly by a few new add-ons that bring extra weapons and items.

Fallout: New Vegas impressed through its sheer size, as the Mojave Wasteland allowed players to engage in all sorts of adventures, quests and missions. Since the game's release last year, Obsidian, its developer, and Bethesda, its publisher, have released three downloadable expansions, that brought even more things to do in the game.

Now, the fourth and seemingly last downloadable add-on, Lonesome Road, has received a new release date, after being originally scheduled to appear this month, as well as a more detailed description, which you can find below.

"In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not."

Lonesome Road will be available on September 20 for purchase, costing $9.99 on the PC or PlayStation 3, and 800 Microsoft Points, on the Xbox 360.

What's more, Bethesda also confirmed that two extra DLC packs, titled Courier's Stash and Gun Runners' Arsenal, will be released one week later, on September 27, for New Vegas.

Courier's Stash costs $1.99 or 160 MS Points, and gives players access to the all four content bundles that were released as pre-order bonuses for the game last year. These include the Caravan, Classic, Mercenary and Tribal packs, each with unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages.

The Gun Runners' Arsenal is a bit more pricey, at $3.99 and 320 MS Points, but brings even more unique weapons and mods, not to mention new ammo types and item recipes that can be uncovered while exploring the Mojave Wasteland.

Until the end of September, when all these add-ons arrives, players can still get any of the already released DLCs for Fallout: New Vegas.
