The first piece of downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas, called Dead Money, has just received its first trailer, showcasing the plot and the gameplay of the upcoming expansion.

Fallout: New Vegas has been out for quite some time now, and Bethesda will finally release the first piece of DLC for it next week.

In order to build up hype for it, the company has now released a video trailer for it, showcasing the main features of the title.

"As the victim of a raw deal you must work alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. In Dead Money, your life hangs in the balance as you face new terrain, foes, and choices. It is up to you how you play your cards in the quest to survive," revealed the company on its official blog.

In case you haven't read the first details about this expansion, Dead Money will task players with exploring (without his choice, according to the video) the Sierra Madre casino.

The main character from the game, The Courier, will need to survive his quest and meet up with other inhabitants of the Wasteland in order to find out the truth about the derelict casino and the Ghost People.

The Courier will be able to find the new area thanks to a radio transmission that advertises the grand opening of the casino.

Dead Money is set to appear for Fallout: New Vegas on December 21, and, unfortunately for PC or PlayStation 3 owners, will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform.

Until then, however, Bethesda and Obsidian, the studio behind New Vegas, have released a comprehensive patch for the game that fixes many of the issues encountered by players and repairs many of the quests in the game, ahead of the release of Dead Money.
