The Chinese market, one of the most attractive countries for Google, manages another hit to the search giant after it was reported that numerous fake agents are pretending they are hired by Google. ChinaTechNews reported that Song Zhongjie, Google's supervisor, made a trip to Nanjing to investigate the fake agents that are claiming to be employees of the company. The publication sustains there are more than 300 Internet companies that are acting as Google agents but the search giant has only 22 legal firms hired in the country.

"Song Zhongjie, channel supervisor of Google China, has arrived in Nanjing and initiated the company's battle against fake agents. There are more than 300 Internet companies in Nanjing and local media report that over one half of them claim themselves to be agents of Google, but Song says they are mostly fake agents. Song says that Google has a total of 22 agents in China, but only one of them is located in Nanjing," the online publication sustained in the article.

Although the local companies must avoid contracting a fake Google agent, the matter is quite important for both the search giant and the potential customers. A fake agent can claim he's able to display adverts on Google's search engine and, after he receives a certain amount of money, he doesn't provide any service to the customer.

As you know, Google really tries to become a powerful Chinese competitor but every time, there are new and even more aspects of the expansion that are making Google's evolution difficult. Take the example of Baidu, the local giant that is continuously growing up and attracting all the customers, while Google is struggling to bring the spotlights on the regional office of the company.
