When Jimmy Fallon put on Justin Bieber’s trademark sneakers, cap and hoodie for the housing bubble parody, he was in no danger from the fans, the Beliebers. Not the same can be said for three guys in Madrid, who thought of pulling a Bieber prank.

The three, who run a website with a section called “Irreality Show” (“A group of friends, an altered reality… this is Irreality Show!” they say) wanted to see how it’s like to be Bieber for a few minutes.

After the pop star’s concert in Madrid, Spain, one of them dressed in a cap and hoodie, just to see whether anyone would fall him as the real Bieber.

As the video below will confirm, the other two acted like “bodyguards” to the fake Bieber, walking with their arms around him, as if protecting him from any paparazzi that may be around, looking for his money shot.

All it took was just one girl screaming “Justin! Justin!” for the madness to ensue. Though many can be heard in the footage below yelling back that “It’s not him!” by the time the little experiment was over, there were hundreds of fans outside.

At one point, seeing that they were literally caught in the crowd, the three attempt to talk their way out of the nasty situation, by telling everyone around that “It’s not Justin.”

Their words have the exact opposite result from what they were expecting; nevertheless, one should note, the fact that the fake Bieber still doesn’t show his face also contributed to this.

The three guys eventually make their escape in a cab, but not before they managed with their little prank to get hundreds of screaming girls there and nearly inciting a riot.

The fake Justin also came out of it a little worse for wear, as his ID was stolen, together with his wallet and 50 euro.

The conclusion the three pranksters came to after the experiment: this is ridiculous but, “fans will be fans, I guess.”
