Data collected while looking into how a total of 159 patients responded to treatment for various mental illnesses suggest that those who have a strong faith in God are bound to recover both faster and easier from such conditions.

Said 159 patients were all treated at Behavioral Health Partial Hospital for a period of roughly 2 weeks.

According to The Inquisitr, their progress was greatly influenced by their having or lacking faith in God.

“We found that patients who had higher levels of belief in God had better treatment outcomes - better well-being, less depression and less anxiety. People who had more faith also had more faith in treatment,” specialist David Rosmarin argued.

A detailed account of the findings of this research was published in the Journal of Affective Disorders.

Interestingly enough, it was only a few days back when one other study argued that faith in an angry God need be linked to higher rates of mental disorders.
