Think "Bonnie and Clyde". Think "Great Depression". Think "dark" and completely loose your minds. Now, you're ready: "Faith and a .45" is an extremely promising title in development for the next-gen consoles, coming from some really crazy dudes, called Deadline Games. If you have ever played the great 'n funny Total Overdose, you should know that Deadline Games are behind it. If you haven't... well... it might be the time for you to do it!

Now, this new game from the creators of Total Overdose seems to be a little bit different: it will heavily focus on characters and co-op mode of play. It tells the Bonnie and Clyde-alike story of Luke and Ruby, two outlaw lovers destined to go down in history. Everything takes place during one of the darkest US periods - the "Dark Depression" time. As the producers say, "the game is a gritty, cross-country epic - a road journey with guns, a dark army of steel-plated vehicles, and armour-clad pyromaniacs."

I don't know about you, but I really love it when producers give it a shot and bring new IP's. Of course, it would have been much easier for Deadline Games to build upon Total Overdose and come with a sequel, but these guys want to bring something new and fresh. A big thumbs-up for them, especially because this project sounds extremely promising and it will most likely turn into a great unforgettable experience.

It's still a long road to go, since the game's development has just begun and very few details are available at the moment, but at least we have a little bit of the story and a Total Overdose crazy gameplay to put some high hopes onto this title. Still, more details are about to come (for sure), since Deadline Games will be presenting the game by invitation only to selected publishers at the 2008 Game Developers Conference. And when publishers get their hands on a great title, informations will leak. We can hardly wait for them, so stay tuned!
