Facebreaker is a new IP announced by Electronic Arts and, boy, we're happy to find out they're not thinking only about developing sequels! The game will be a boxing arcade one with some crazy looking cartoonish characters, and it is expected to be released sometime this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii consoles. And, to be honest, PC owners are yelling from the red corner "We want it, too!"

The game is developed by the same team that worked for Fight Night Round 3, a boxing sim, so the guys know what boxing is about. We'll see whether they know how to create a funny arcade title, too. But we're putting some high hopes on that since the first two characters EA has announced are already hilarious (and you can check them in the screenshot to the left). We will have Romeo, a Latin lover known for his pelvic thrusts and who looks like a younger Antonio Banderas in Desperado, and Molotov, an oversized Russian demolitions expert with a penchant for fighting dirtily.

We know that true gamers play all these games just for fun, as they should, and not in order to achieve specific point landmarks to prove to their friends they are very cool, but we also know that sometimes you just can't live without achieving everything possible with a title you really enjoy.
