Just as it did with its Facebook Messenger application for iPhone, which received Wi-Fi calling features in the latest release, the social networking company is expected to bring the feature to more devices in the near future.

To be more precise, Facebook is said to plan on providing the owners of Android and BlackBerry devices with the possibility to enjoy Skype-like audio calls over Wi-Fi with people in the United States and Canada.

According to the BBC, the company will indeed be bringing the Messenger on Android and BlackBerry in line with the app for iPhone.

Furthermore, the news site notes that the feature will be pushed to the Messenger for other operating systems as well, and that it will also be made available for users in other markets. However, no info on when that might happen has been provided.
