Facebook has been on a roll lately, integrating new features and tweaking up the ones it already had to increase users’ engagement on the site and to make up for the not-so-satisfying quarterly results.

However, the strategies the company has applied ever since the results were released seem to have had the anticipated effect. Analysts from Zacks announced that as the number of monthly active users continues to grow, it is the right time for investors to put their bids on the company.

So those spreading rumors that the social networking site is going to hit rock bottom soon enough can just lay back and watch witty investors profit from the advantageous deal.

Although showing a significant increase from the previous year, the company slightly missed analysts’ expectations. However, it seems that all the effort is starting to pay off as Facebook is unstoppable in its ascension.

Internet.org is Facebook's tool for global expansion

And, as surprisingly as it may be, Internet.org plays a vital role in the company’s uprise. Despite the fact that people thought the project was close to falling into oblivion after Indian companies pulled out on claims that it violated net neutrality rules, the initiative is on the up-and-up.

Recently, a Facebook spokesperson declared for The Hindu that Internet.org has managed to gather no less than 8 lakh Indian users after partnering up with telecom major Reliance Communications:

"We have 800,000 Internet.org users in India in just the supported seven circles. Internet.org is helping people connect to the Internet for the first time."

So, while companies continue to advocate for an open Internet, outside Facebook’s "walled garden," the company stealthily makes its way up, beguiling more users, the likes of those who take the social website for the Internet. But at the end of the day, it’s the numbers that count, and Facebook knows that very well.

As the number of users on the platform surges, the company is bound to attract more brands, bringing a significant boost in its advertising revenues.

And apart from being a way to bring the internet to the underprivileged and helping people stay connected, Internet.org is the perfect growth opportunity in international markets.
