Facebook Pages have become very important for the social network. And there's no doubt that they're particularly popular with Facebook users. Now, Facebook is introducing a new way of discovering new Facebook pages with what it calls the "Page Browser."

"We're now ready to release the Page Browser. We've even added a couple fun things like a way for you to discover interests from other countries and a way to see which of your friends is most similar to you," Ben Blumenfeld, a Facebook engineer wrote.

"As with all experiences on Facebook, the Page Browser will continue to evolve as we get feedback from you. For now, we hope you enjoy connecting with your interests and maybe even find a few new ones," he added.

Landing on the Page Browser, you'll see a number of recommended pages, based on what you and your friends already like. The suggestions also rely on demographic data, they will be different according to country, age and so on.

Scrolling down thorough the suggestions, you're very likely to see at least some pages that would interest you.

You can "like" a page simply by clicking on its thumbnail and you can continue your search. It doesn't get any more streamlined than this and it should probably help Facebook Pages grow even faster than before.

It may mean that your News Feed will get cluttered with updates from various pages, but you can simply hide them.

If you're looking for something more specific, you can select from one of the categories Musicians, Sports, Celebrities, Movies, TV, Shows, Politicians and Brands, which filters the suggestions.

The feature was built by a two-man team in the past couple of months. The two Facebook engineers believed that there should be a better way of discovering great Pages, not just serendipitously.
