The Android 2.3.4 operating system flavor that started to arrive on Xperia devices a few weeks ago brings along a new flavor of the Facebook inside Xperia application from Sony Ericsson, in addition to a wide range of other enhancements that we have managed to take a closer look at.
The new Facebook inside Xperia 2.0 software is meant to offer faster and more secure access to the social networking site, all straight from the handset in users' hands.
Through deeper integration with Facebook, the software can deliver a better experience regardless where users are on the phone: music player, phonebook, photo gallery, calendar and lockscreen.

Some of the main features that the application provides users with include the sharing of music, apps and games, the possibility to receive recommendations on applications, games, music and videos from friends, as well as integration with the photo gallery, and other social capabilities.
For example, a “Friends’ games & applications” widget will provide users with info on the games and apps that friends have recommended from their handsets. Not to mention that they will have an Android Market link to click to download and install the app on their phones.
Other capabilities of Facebook inside Xperia work as follows:
When listening to a song you really like in the music player, you can press the “Like” button to share your favorite on Facebook. To share a game or an app you like, simply long press the app icon and pull it to the top of the screen where you’ll see a share icon.
With the widget “Friends’ music and & videos” on my home screen, I can easily check out all recommendations done by my friends when I have the time to, without having to search for it in the flow of posts in the Facebook app.
Facebook is deeply integrated in the phone
's photo gallery. You can see all your own images uploaded to Facebook and read the comments and see who has liked it without even opening the Facebook app. Your friends most recent uploaded images also appear in your gallery.
And there are also some other social features that Xperia devices
can deliver, including the ability to see friends' latest status update, birthday, photos and interests straight from the phonebook.
Moreover, Facebook events are added to the phone's calendar, with means that users will be able to easily stay on top of all that is happening.
