Complaints from customers have prompted Facebook Inc. to come out with a fresh version of their iPhone app, making it faster and more responsive to user input.

After receiving cries from almost the entire mobile community, Facebook has coded up a new version of their iPhone client re-tooling every aspect of the app from the ground up.

“We've rebuilt the app so it’s faster and easier to use,” the company said in an update on the iTunes App Store.

According to the release notes, scrolling through news feed is faster than ever, photos open fast and close with one downward swipe, you get instant access to your notifications, and there’s a new banner that lets you tap to quickly see more stories. Users don’t need to refresh this section anymore.

The update is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later.
