Facebook for PlayBook Update Brings New Groups Feature

Research In Motion has just announced it has updated the Facebook application for its BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Facebook 2.1 brings a new feature and improved media access for users of the application.

The new feature integrated in the latest version of the application is called Facebook Groups and allows users to share and interact with groups.

Facebook Groups is one of the most requested features by BlackBerry PlayBook owners who use this application.

With Improved Media Access media viewing and uploading is now more intuitive. The development team has made some improvements by adding two new buttons on the Photos tab, the Photo and Video buttons.

Furthermore, both Photo and Video buttons are now accessible from the user’s Profile or Photos feature on the browsing grid.

Facebook 2.1 for BlackBerry PlayBook is now available as a free download in the BlackBerry App World.
