Facebook is already available on Android and iOS platforms, but the BlackBerry application has yet to make its official entrance in the App World.

Until the official app is released, BlackBerry users can try out the beta version, which has just received another update. Although it doesn't bring any new features, the latest version of Facebook fixes some bugs that have been previously reported by users.

Starting with this iteration of Facebook, when the application is installed on a device running a language that is not officially supported by the app, but is supported by BB, the Facebook for BlackBerry is supposed to default to English.

Another bug that made the Facebook server return an unknown error has been resolved as well, along with the inability to close the application using back key on OS 6.0.

Another problem that prevented WiLAN event to be processed correctly when radio was low or changed has been corrected as well. It is also worth mentioning Facebook application now uses HTTP links in browser.

There's no telling when exactly the final build of Facebook for BlackBerry will make it to the App World, but after numerous updates deployed in the past few weeks, it appears that the application is near completion.

It looks like we haven't seen any new features in the latest updates, which means the application still needs quite a few bug fixes, which, fortunately, are delivered pretty fast by the developers.

A good example is the recent release of Twitter for BlackBerry, which has just been officially launched in the App World and is now available as a free download.

The latest version of Facebook for BlackBerry is now available as a free download through Beta Zone. Keep in mind that in order to download any application from BlackBerry Beta Zone, one would need to sign up for an account.
