Research In Motion announced yesterday that a new version of BlackBerry Messenger is available for download in BlackBerry Beta Zone. Those who already have an account can install BBM 6.2 beta, which bring lots of new features and enhancements.

However, the folks over at MobileSyrup have learned that BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) was not the only software updated by RIM recently.

It appears that the Canadian company also launched beta builds of Facebook and Twitter applications for BlackBerry devices.

From the new changes added in these beta versions, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) Connect integration seems to be among the most important. This new improvement is available for both social apps.

Twitter for BlackBerry version 3.0.0.16 will also include photo service integration and automatic URL shortening. In addition, the developers also redesigned the new Tweet’s layout. The bad news is that RIM plans to integrate Promoted Tweets, which basically means ads.

The latest version of Facebook for BlackBerry (3.0.0.9) brings smoother BBM Connect integration, such as sharing a specific post to a BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) contact.

Just like Twitter’s layout, Facebook’s user interface received small improvements to make much smoother and easy to navigate. The main highlight of the UI minor redesign is the easier access to Privacy Settings.

In addition, Facebook Message notifications have been improved. That includes notifications that have yet to be pushed to the smartphone, based on usage.

In other news, those who are not aware of the changes included within the newest version of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) should know that the application now features animated display pictures.

The following new features are now available in BBM 6.2 beta: streamlined voice notes, resend a message, search and BlackBerry Tag enhancements.

All three applications are now in beta testing and can be downloaded through RIM’s BlackBerry Beta Zone. There’s no telling exactly when the developers will make these new updates available for general use.
