The Facebook Timeline is almost a year old now. Granted, when it was first introduced in September 2011, not that many people were able to get it. After some testing, Facebook enabled anyone to switch to the Timeline if they wanted.
Early this year, Facebook started pushing people to switch to the Timeline. But it was still optional in some cases and it was still a gradual rollout.
To this day, a lot of people still sport the old Facebook profile. Most people may have switched to the Timeline, but even the "few" that haven't add up to a big number considering Facebook is almost one billion strong at this point.
But the days of the old Facebook profile are numbered. Sometime this fall, everyone will have been switched over to the Timeline. By that time, the
recently revamped Photos section will also be available to all users.
