Activity sharing, a simple process from now on

Facebook has millions of users, the company's representatives even estimating that approximately 250,000 new accounts are created every day. Because of that, the website is somehow forced to improve its functions periodically, in order to satisfy the majority of members and bring them the features they need. That's why Facebook has just released a new function, namely the Import feature for Mini-Feed, a special ability which lets registered users to import activity from other websites/services straight into their profile.

"There are a lot of good sites out there, unfortunately, that can sometimes mean a lot of switching around for your friends, and it can make it harder for them to discover the very best of your content. With that in mind, we've introduced a way for you to import activity from other sites into your Mini-Feed (and into your friends' News Feeds)," Harry Huai Wang wrote on the official Facebook blog. "These stories will look just like any other Mini-Feed stories, and will hopefully increase your ability to share information with the people you care about."

At this time, there are only a few services supported, namely Flickr, Yelp, Picasa and del.icio.us, but some new names should be added soon, Digg being on top of the list.

If you want to share activity from the websites mentioned above with your Facebook friends, all you need to do is to login into your social network account, go over to Profile and click on the Import button placed next to the Mini-Feed section. Choose the service you want, enter the requested information and click Import.

UPDATE: By the time this article is published, the folks at Facebook will have already added support for Digg, so put this new service next to the supported ones mentioned above.
