Social networking giant Facebook has released new versions of its iOS applications that allow iPhone and iPad owners to manage their digital lives on the go. New features include friends of friends in conversations, and the ability to see answers to questions and guest lists for events created on your Pages, just to name a couple.

Facebook Messenger 1.8 arrives today with “more great ways to stay in touch on the go,” according to the Social Network.

Users can quickly switch between multiple conversations with in-app notifications, and there's the newly-added ability to include friends of friends in conversations.

People can now swipe to delete individual messages from conversations, and there's a more comprehensive view of who's available when you start a new conversation, as well as the option to upload bigger photos – users can tap for full screen and pinch to zoom in for a larger view.

Listed under “more improvements” are things like faster app loading, navigating and sending, more reliable push notifications, and a few squashed bugs.

Facebook Messenger 1.8 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later.

Facebook Pages Manager 1.1 is a new version of the company’s app that helps admins connect with their followers and keep up with activity on multiple pages.

New in this version is the ability to view and reply to messages, an option to adjust how often you receive notifications about Pages activity, insights for checkins, a special place for answers to questions and guest lists for events created on your Pages.

The usual bag of fixes and performance updates is also included in this release, according to Facebook Inc.

Facebook Pages Manager is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and it requires iOS 4.2 or later.
