Estimates for what Facebook is making are all over the map. The best guess is that the company should be making a few billion dollars in revenue this year. It's not much compared to Google for example, but it's a big jump from last year, which was a big jump from the year before that and so on.
Along with all the money it's making, it's also gotten at least $1.5 billion, 1.08€ billion in funding this year alone. Clearly, it has cash to spend.
And spend it does, the company
plowed through $116 million, 83.5€ million in the last year alone on business equipment, aka laptops, servers, furniture and everything else needed to keep the place going and its employees happy.
The figure is especially high when considering that much larger companies, like Google which had 24,400 employees at the end of last year, several times more than Facebook, spent $154 million, 111€ million on business equipment.
