Although it appears that there are only 47 free Woolworths gift vouchers, you should take a minute to think about it before rushing to click on all sorts of shady links.

Fraudsters are trying to trick Facebook customers into participating in surveys by luring them with free $500 Woolworth vouchers. The victims are requested to share the scammy page, comment on it (this is to ensure that all the victim’s friends see the scam), and complete a survey.

After the page is shared and commented on, there is no mention of the Woolworths gift cards. Instead, new prizes are offered to the victims: cheap auto insurance, online jobs and custom Facebook profiles.

Internauts are advised to avoid taking part in such contests. No one ever wins anything except for the crooks that run the scam. They earn a certain amount of money for each individual they trick.
