The feature is not available for all users as of now

One of the latest features to have become available for the owners of Android-based devices in the UK as part of the Facebook Messenger application was the possibility to make voice calls to other people using the application.

The feature went live in the US a while ago, and was also launched in Canada several weeks back. It is now available in the UK as well, a recent post on TNW reports.

The VoIP calling option is available for free to Android users, who will find the new feature listed in the app next to the photo and camera buttons.

Apparently, the option hasn’t been rolled out to all users as of now, and is limited to Facebook Messenger alone (won’t appear in the main Facebook app). For the time being, no official announcement on the app’s voice calling deployment in the UK has been made.
