Facebook Messenger for Android is currently providing users in the United States with yet another appealing feature, namely the possibility to place free VoIP voice calls.

At the moment, the VoIP calling feature on Android is available for Facebook Messenger users in 24 countries, but more of them are expected to receive it in the not too distant future.

To enjoy the functionality, users will simply have to click on the icon on someone’s profile, and then hit the free call button, as TechCrunch notes in a recent article.

Users with Facebook Home on their smartphones will get the most out of the feature through placing calls straight from the Chat Heads, by clicking on the three dots next to a person’s name, opening the conversation in Messenger, and hitting the aforementioned free call button.
