Facebook is working on making more security-related features available to its mobile clients, including the ability to reset passwords and to report content.

"As more people use mobile devices, we want all of our security tools available everywhere you use Facebook. A few of our engineers have been working hard to bring two of our most popular tools to mobile — social reporting and the ability to reset your password," the company announces in a blog post.

Social reporting is a feature introduced by Facebook a few months ago to allow users to report pieces of content they don't like, like photos or wall posts, directly to the people that posted them.

The company claims that this reporting method has generated great results, with 70% of reports being resolved directly without the intervention of Facebook teams.

This shows that a bit of communication can go a long way in resolving issues and that users are generally willing to respond to other people's concerns in a positive manner.

Facebook is working on making Social Reporting available to its mobile customers. "This week we started testing this on m.facebook.com and over the coming months we will add social reporting to all mobile devices," the company said.

Mobile password resets is also a feature that might help remote users who are not in front of a computer if they need to regain control of their hijacked accounts. At the moment, mobile users can choose where to receive password recovery links and have several options to verify their identity.

These include entering their email or phone number, their Facebook account, or their name together with a friend's. The company is working on adding more identity verification methods which will be slowly rolled out to allow for user feedback.
