Facebook has just announced that its Home application for Android devices has been updated with a handful of new features.

First of all, Android enthusiasts who have the application installed on their smartphones will now be able to use it as lock screen or both lock screen and app launcher. The team behind Facebook Home has also confirmed that the app launcher has been updated.

Last but not least, developers have included the ability to see photos and posts from Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tumblr on their lock screens. However, keep in mind that this feature is only available for Facebook for Android beta testers until further notice.

You can now download Facebook Home 1.1 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind the application is fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
