Without a doubt, Facebook is one of the best-known social services around, and for this reason, it's starting to get all sorts of dedicated devices, including here a customized keyboard for PCs.

As some of you will certainly remember, HTC introduced back at MWC 2011 a smartphone featuring a dedicated Facebook button, but Social Keyboards is taking things to a whole new level, since their Social Network Access Keyboard (S.N.A.K.) enables fast and easy access to a whole range of Facebook-related functions.

As we pretty much expected, the S.N.A.K. is not exactly a custom-built peripheral, but rather a very clever adaptation of an existing PC peripheral, the Dynex Multimedia Keyboard.

The reason why the guys over at Social Keyboards opted for the Dynex Multimedia Keyboard is the fact that the aforementioned device comes equipped with 19 one-touch hot keys, designed to provide users with instant access the Internet, e-mail, favorites, as well as various other functions, such as PC sleep, media player, volume control, etc.

Practically, Social Keyboards modified the functions assigned to the respective hot keys, so that they'll enable very fast access to some of the best-known Facebook features, starting with the trademark “Like” function, but also including all sorts of extras, such as searching for a friend, uploading photos, messaging, emailing, etc.

This has been done via a dedicated application developed by Social Keyboards, that will have to be installed on the PC before one will be able to fully benefit from the advantages provided by this highly unusual peripheral.

The company also informs us that their dedicated Facebook keyboard also offers users some pretty useful security features, meaning that, once the respective person has logged out from Facebook, these Hot Keys will automatically become disabled.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll also have to mention that the S.N.A.K. keyboard sells for around 30 US dollars, which is quite an OK price point, all things considered.
