Facebook makes sharing baby photos easier

Many parents seem to enjoy sharing as many baby photos on Facebook as possible. But there is an issue. For instance, if the mom posts the pictures on her Facebook page, how does she get the father’s friends to take a look at them as well?

Facebook has carefully analyzed the issue and they have come up with a way to prevent any such things from happening. To show how considerate they are towards parents on Facebook, they have come up with an innovative tool meant to help the pictures of the little ones be seen by everyone.

How does the tool work?

The Scrapbook allows parents to manage the pictures together and even tag the child’s name. How cool is that?

In order to create the Scrapbook, all you have to do go on your profile, select About and then Family and Relationship. From there, you should be able to create the Scrapbook and add the co-owner of the photo album.

Some might argue that you could have simply created an album for your child and add the pictures there, but this new tool also offers you the opportunity for both parents to have access to the collection of photos.

The decision to implement this new feature came after, according to a survey made by Facebook, 65% of parents who post pictures of their children online have to tag the other parent also to make sure of the fact that everyone gets a peek at how well their child is growing.

On the other hand, if you are not a big fan of baby photos or if you happen not to be interested in what a couple’s child looks like, you can simply filter what you receive from overexcited parents, by blocking updates from certain friends from your News Feed.

Another alternative would be to download the iClarified app, which allows you to choose whose posts you see. Unfortunately, it is only available for iOS.

Scrapbook is currently available both on Android and iOS, but only for users in the U.S.
