People privy to Apple’s plans with the underlying software of iPhones and iPads have confirmed to 9to5mac that Facebook is indeed coming to iOS 6 as an integrated social component. Not only that, Apple’s revamped iStores will have “like” buttons, aiding discoverability of titles.

Sources familiar with the Facebook integration into iOS 6 said the intermixing will be similar, if not identical to that of Twitter and iOS 4 in 2010. People sign up once and then use all their apps and services with Facebook integration (as long as the apps need it, of course).

“App Liking” is another major aspect of Apple’s future plans with the iPhone, the iPad and its App Store.

There will be a Facebook “Like” button on every app’s page, allowing customers to rate the apps and send them at the top of the charts, based on the best indicator possible – unbiased reviews. Status messages will also be included, according to the report.
