Facebook is expanding the use and support of Facebook Credits, its own virtual currency for apps. It is now adding new payment options for 13 countries and is also making it easier for developers to receive their money from Facebook as it is now making payments in all of the countries it can.

"Today we’re announcing new international payment methods and improved payout workflows for developers using Facebook Credits. Through these improvements, we’re now able to support developers in virtually all countries," Loren Cheng announced.

Facebook enables its users to pay for Facebook Credits in a number of ways, via credit cards, PayPal, their mobile phones and so on. But available options vary from country to country. What's more, users may have different payment preferences, which is why it helps to have as many options as possible.

This is what Facebook is doing now, starting next month, the same day that developers will have to start using Credits in favor of anything else, the site will add more payment options in 13 more countries.

"Starting around July 1, we’re adding alternative payment options for Facebook Credits in 13 countries in Asia and Latin America. Those payment options are supported by Live Gamer. A list of current Facebook Credits payment options is available here,"

Facebook is also making it easier for developers to get paid. With few exceptions, it should now be possible to receive your cut of Facebook Credits transactions from your applications, via your preferred method, PayPal, bank account and so on.

"We’re also excited to announce that we now support payouts to developers in all countries globally (excluding a few government-embargoed countries). To do this, we’ve developed a new pay out process for developers in countries where we haven't previously supported payouts through banks or PayPal," Cheng also announced.
