With the IPO under wraps, well in some sense as the company is still struggling with the problems it generated, it seems that the people at Facebook who have been waiting for things to calm down to be able to leave aren't waiting anymore.
Facebook CTO Bret Taylor, of FriendFeed fame, is
leaving to do his own thing and start another company. He announced that he's leaving towards the end of summer.
Taylor has been the head of Facebook's platform and mobile efforts, both crucial to the company. But with both heading in a good direction, especially with the iOS 6 integration and the Facebook App center, Taylor believed it was a good a time as any to pack up.
While he provided no details on his next venture, he will be joined by Google's Kevin Gibbs, the creator of App Engine, Google's cloud platform.
