Earlier this week, the stable Facebook application for Windows Phone devices has been updated with support for the Windows Phone 7.8 platform, a move that was made for the beta version of the application as well.
Joe Belfiore, the Windows Phone boss, has posted on Twitter that the app has been submitted to the Windows Phone Store and that it is already available for download.
“..a new version of the #Facebook #WP beta app just got submitted to the Store which includes support for you WP7 users,” he said in a tweet. “For those asking-- #Facebook #WP beta is free, with no signup needed. App is now live,” he continued.
The improvements that were already available for the owners of Windows Phone 8 devices will arrive on Windows Phone 7.x handsets as well.
