After popular messaging app WhatsApp announced it was granting support to the Android Wear ecosystem, other super popular applications are following suit and jumping onto your wrist.

Since social media is an integral part of our existence whether we like it or not, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Facebook is jumping on the Android Wear bandwagon too.

The announcement was made by Facebook software engineer Alan Lake who posted the news on Google+.

“I’ve bene a big fan of Android Wear since its announcement so one of the things I’ve done quite a bit of at Facebook is ensure that Android Wear is actively considered when adding new feature and we take advantage of what features are provided.”

In order to be able to use Facebook on your smartwatch, you’ll have to install version for Android 9.0 (downloadable via Google Play store.) After which, you will be able to compose voice message replies directly from your wrist.

Users will also be able to see notifications, like or reply posts – all by tapping on the screen of their smartwatch.

So, you have Facebook on your wrist and you have WhatsApp as well, two of the most popular social applications. What other apps would you like to see arrive on your Android Wear watch?
