After days of dismay, Facebook Inc. is finally offering a supposedly stable build of its iOS client application, promising to enable everyone to update and share their status without a hitch.

Facebook version 6.7.2 fixes “an issue that prevented some people from updating and sharing their status (6.7.2),” according to the social networking giant. This comes after a week of turmoil involving a glitchy 6.7.1 update. You can read about it in the related news below the fold.

The release notes also mention the new addition for iPad users (introduced in 6.7.0), namely the ability to edit posts and tap to see all the changes.

“Other bug fixes,” are also included, but Facebook is reluctant to name these issues.

Of the millions of users downloading Facebook 6.7.2 today, I’m pretty sure at least a couple of thousand people will not be satisfied with its functionality. It’s become a trend, really. I’m curious what Facebook will mess up next.
