14 DAY TRIAL // Julia Roberts is one of the most famous and pretty faces in Hollywood. At the same time, the actress is also a mother of three and has recently gotten back to work, making her comeback in the industry with two new films – but her face shows no signs of tiredness in the latest Allure spread. The secret to her fabulous looks, Julia says, is her husband’s love.
Life has been kind to Julia, as she herself admits: at 41, with three little kids to raise and an active acting career, she should probably be worse for wear. However, a combination of good genes and lots of love from cameraman husband Danny Moder, is guaranteed to keep her looking this wonderful for many years to come, the actress tells the March issue of the renowned magazine.
“The key to beauty is always to be looking at someone who loves you, really. One of my favorite things about my children right now, even Henry, who can’t say all the words... sometimes he’ll see me and go, ‘Ma-ma!’ and throw himself on me. Or Finn says he likes my earrings. Or Hazel will say, ‘You look pretty, Mama,’ first thing in the morning.” Julia reveals about her children’s reaction to her looks.
“And I realize, that’s all my husband. They’re seeing the things that he does and the way that he shares his feelings with me, and the way that I share my feelings with him. The coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence.” the actress adds about her relationship with her husband of six years.
Of course, that is not to say that she does not have her bad days, when even the slightest offensive remark can make her go crazy, as she herself admits. “Just when you think you’re getting your [life] together, someone says, ‘When is your baby due?’ I had Henry on my hip, and it was like, ‘This is my baby.’ It hurt my feelings so bad. I think the second-meanest thing you can say to somebody is, ‘You look tired.’ Why do people say that? Just tell me I look like a mom! Don’t tell me I look tired.” Julia explains.
