Peter Molyneux, the leader of developer Lionhead, has said that time is needed in order to create the defining gaming experience that could link the Kinect motion tracking system and the upcoming role playing action hybrid Fable III, just as sources talked about two of the ideas that were scrapped for the upcoming game.

The two mini games mentioned to gaming blog Kotaku by a developer involved creating statues in the game world and pelting other characters with tomatoes.

It's not clear how they would work and how they would influence gameplay in Fable III but the team thought that they were not sufficiently polished to make it to launch date.

Fable III will allow the player to experience both sides of a revolution, both as a source for change and as a ruler of the land.

Talking to Endgadget Peter Molyneux, the leading designer on Fable III, talked about the motion tracking system integration, saying “I think something like Fable would be a fantastic experience with Kinect, but here is the thing: Kinect is so different to any other device that is out there — because it makes us, designers go back to the drawing board — to make the experience that Fable can give Kinect and Kinect can give Fable is going to take a little bit of time.”

Microsoft initially highlighted Fable III as one of the titles that traditional gamers will like the fact that allows them to see the potential of Kinect.

Neither developer Lionhead nor publisher Microsoft have officially confirmed a date when Fable III will get support for motion tracking and it's not clear how the integration will affect the gameplay.

Fable III is at the moment exclusive to the Xbox 360 and will be released on October 26 in the United States.

The game is also set to be ported to the PC but that version has been delayed to an unspecified date.
